Inception cohort of newly diagnosed patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA)
Fragestellung
Prospective controlled observational study of patients with recent-onset JIA
Konzept
To prospectively assess disease process and multidimensional outcome in a representative group of patients with recently diagnosed JIA, and to identify predictors of persistent disease, articular/extraarticular disease damage and impaired health-related quality of life (HRQoL). To explore the characteristics and outcome of JIA-associated uveitis, its impact on HRQoL, and predictors of ocular damage. To monitor S100 proteins and a panel of cytokines over time, and to identify surrogate parameters for disease activity and course. To assess the economic impact of early JIA.
Patienten
800 JIA patients and 400 controls
